Business hours and administrator notifications
Manage working hours on a separate screen; choose notification recipients and channels.
Daily business hours
On the Business hours page, enter the timezone and each day’s range. Example: Monday–Friday 09:00-18:00, Saturday 10:00-14:00, Sunday blank / closed. Europe/Istanbul uses Turkey time. Save in a valid time format; incorrect formats are not accepted.
Outside-hours support flow
No long outside-hours warning is shown when the chat first opens. The assistant helps by finding out the issue and the details needed. Outside business hours, the “Talk to an operator” button is not shown. When a visitor asks for an operator in writing, help is offered first; if the request is repeated, the conversation is saved and the next business hours are explained. No exact response time is promised.
Email and SMS channels
In General settings, enable the new-conversation email / SMS alerts separately and select one or more authorised administrators. The message content and the visitor’s contact details are not included in the alert; the operator reaches the conversation from the authorised panel.
Sending requires the WISECP email / SMS provider to be ready and the cron tasks to be enabled. Being queued does not mean being delivered. Without an SMS provider the channel does not work; enabling it in the add-on alone is not enough.
Administrator preferences and testing
Online and notification sound preferences are saved to the administrator account. After saving a channel or recipient change, you can send a test notification to your own account. The test goes only to the enabled channels of your own account, which must be selected as a recipient; it is not sent to other administrators. Check delivery in the queue and error logs.
Per-minute task and notification check
Get the cron command specific to your server from the WISECP Automation → System screen. Run it once a minute under the user account that runs the site; do not put the secret key in the command into a guide or screenshot. You do not need to create a second cron for the add-on.
Chat notifications are placed in a persistent queue; if the add-on’s attempts fail, the per-minute task processes them again. Save the recipient, channel and provider settings first. If the queue builds up, check the provider result in the WISECP error/mail logs instead of sending test after test.
