Update guide
Check for the new version in the admin area and update while keeping your licence, support and settings.
Check your update channel
Hostimor 1.3.14 and later approved versions are distributed through the WISECP Marketplace; 1.4.0 and later versions are in the new Marketplace product. WISECP checks for new versions once a day and offers the update in the admin area. You do not need a second update key from Hostimor.
Downloading and re-downloading require an active domain licence and an active support/update entitlement. If your support period has ended, renew first.
Check for a new version
The current approved version is 1.4.0 (24 October 2026); the previous approved version is 1.3.17 (20 October 2026). As 1.4.0 is a new Marketplace product, it does not appear as an update notification on 1.3.x installations; follow the moving from 1.3 to 1.4.0 steps. Check your installed version in the theme details and the release status in the release notes.
The Marketplace checks for new versions once a day. The administrator starts the update installation from the notification in the admin area. The notification does not upgrade your site on its own.
Before updating
- Take a backup of your files and database and make sure you can restore it.
- Note the installed theme and WISECP versions.
- Back up your custom CSS, JavaScript and image changes separately.
- Read the compatibility and release notes of the new version.
Updating from the admin area
- Take a backup of your files and database.
- In the WISECP admin area, open Settings → Theme/Customization → Manage Theme.
- Check the approved new version offered by your distribution channel and your update entitlement.
- Start the update offered by the admin area and wait until the download and installation are complete.
- Reopen theme management and confirm that the installed version matches the version you downloaded.
Old copies without an update connection may need an assisted installation with the package that matches your service. Do not copy existing settings from another installation; contact Hostimor support.
Settings and package layout
Take a backup of your files and database before installing. Keep your existing theme settings and texts; do not replace config.php and content/ (where, in 1.3.16, the home page content record is also stored) with another site’s data.
The Marketplace uses the approved full theme package. Do not modify the archive or delete the update record. When the process is complete, check the licence, support and version information.
Moving from 1.3 to 1.4.0
1.4.0 was published as a new product on the WISECP Marketplace on 24 October 2026. It does not reach 1.3.x installations as an update notification; licences with an active support and update entitlement install it from the Marketplace.
- Take a backup. Along with your file and database backup, back up the templates/website/Hostimor directory.
- Install 1.4.0. Install Hostimor | WISECP Tema (Hostimor | WISECP Theme) from the WISECP Marketplace. 1.4.0 is installed in a new folder (templates/website/HostimorTheme); the previous Hostimor folder stays in place.
- Activate and set it up. In Manage Theme, activate Hostimor | WISECP Tema (Hostimor | WISECP Theme). 1.4.0 is a separate theme; the 1.3 theme’s settings (
config.php) and content records (content/) are not carried over. On first opening, the home page content is copied once from the WISECP records. Set up your logo, colours, company details and home page edits again in the theme editor; do not copy files from the 1.3 folder into the new theme. - Check the licence card. In Tema ayarları → Lisans, destek ve yedek (Theme settings → Licence, support and backup), the status should show Active and package integrity Verified; press Re-check if needed.
- Check the site. Review the home page, a product page, the cart and the client area in light and dark appearance. If everything is in place, you can remove the old Hostimor theme in Manage Theme; the old folder is not deleted automatically.
The update key field has been removed; updates come only from the WISECP Marketplace. Modifying theme files directly breaks package integrity, and visitors are shown the licence page; make your customisations in the admin area. Licence card and verification →
Updating to 1.3.17
1.3.17 was approved and published on the WISECP Marketplace on 20 October 2026. For licences with an active support and update entitlement, the update is offered in the admin area; the administrator starts the installation.
- Take a backup. Check your file and database backup.
- Install the update. Install 1.3.17, offered through the Marketplace notification, from the Settings → Theme/Customization → Manage Theme screen. Your theme settings, home page content record and texts are kept.
- Set up the home page packages. The package column setting from 1.3.16 now affects only product category pages. On the home page, hosting and server packages open by default with 4 paket yan yana (4 packages side by side) and alt alta (stacked); for a different layout, use the Görünüm ve seçenekler (Appearance and options) tab of the two sections.
- Check the category pages. A saved “Otomatik” (Automatic) value is applied as 4 packages. For a different number, choose and save the Tema ayarları → Ürün ve katalog sayfaları → Ürün kategori sayfalarında yan yana paket (Theme settings → Product and catalogue pages → Packages side by side on product category pages) setting.
- Review the extensions and the software showcase. Extensions you typed in earlier are kept; those that are enabled and priced in WISECP appear on the site with their price. If an extension does not come up selected, select it again from the drop-down. Check the featured software list and put the products in the order you want; the default view is 3 products side by side, stacked.
- Check. Refresh the browser cache and review the home page, a product category page, the cart and the client area in light and dark appearance.
Old information files in the package (TEMA-BILGILERI.txt, LISANS-KOSULLARI.txt and others) are not deleted by the update and do not affect the package check; their content has moved to the OKUBENI.txt and README.txt files. New package and showcase settings →
Updating to 1.3.16
- Take a backup. Check your file and database backup.
- Open the editor. After the update, opening Settings → Theme/Customization → Manage Theme → Hostimor → Settings opens the theme editor.
- First opening. The home page content (slides, sections, cards, order and visibility) is copied once from the WISECP records into the theme’s own record. The WISECP records are not changed, and the site looks the same.
- Check. Review the home page in the preview. From now on, manage the home page content in the editor and put changes live with Yayınla (Publish).
This editor replaces the previous management screen; the theme settings open in the classic view, and for a live preview you use the Önizlemeli düzenleyici (Editor with preview) button. If you want the home page to be shown from the WISECP records again, use the Tema kaydını kapat (Turn off the theme record) button on the Ana sayfa içerik kaydı (Home page content record) card under Tema ayarları → Gelişmiş (Theme settings → Advanced).
After updating
Check the home page, mobile menu, footer, product prices, client area, logo and colours. If the site still looks the old way, refresh the browser cache. Confirm that the licence and support information is displayed.
If there is an error, open a support ticket with the error text, the old and new versions and the steps you took. To roll back, use the backup you took before the update.
If WISECP was updated first
1.3.14, 1.3.16 and 1.3.17: newer WISECP versions that meet the minimum version requirement do not shut down the front end. For a version that has not been tested yet, the administrator sees a warning; licence and support verification are assessed separately.
Older Hostimor versions: the front end may shut down because of a fixed version check. Check your licence and support status, and install the suitable update once it has been approved and published in your distribution channel. If you cannot reach the update screen, keep your backup and open a support ticket.
You can get the approved 1.3.17 package from the WISECP Marketplace. The Marketplace does not offer the download to installations above the highest WISECP version the package supports; in that case, keep the installed version until a compatible theme version is published.
1.4.0: the minimum WISECP version is 5.0-beta.3; newer versions do not shut down the site and are marked “not tested yet” on the licence card.
