Troubleshooting

Work through the most common appearance and content problems step by step.

If a section looks empty

Check whether the related admin record exists and is active. Make sure the right source is selected in the theme options. For products, check the category, group, stock, price and visibility status.

If a change does not appear

Make sure you used the Save button of the relevant screen. In 1.3.16, also press Yayınla (Publish) for home page changes. When you change a theme text, edit it in the right language. Refresh the browser and check the visitor view in a different tab.

If a home page change does not appear on the site

In 1.3.16, home page content is saved to a draft first. If the top bar shows the warning “Ana sayfada yayınlanmamış değişiklik var” (There are unpublished changes on the home page), press Yayınla (Publish). A change that appears in the preview but not on the site is usually an unpublished draft.

If a change in the WISECP Sliders or home page blocks screen does not appear

In 1.3.16 the home page is shown from the theme’s own record. Make the change in the theme editor, or bring the WISECP content into the draft with Tema ayarları → Gelişmiş → Ana sayfa içerik kaydı → WISECP kayıtlarından yeniden aktar (Theme settings → Advanced → Home page content record → Re-import from WISECP records) and publish it.

If you cannot select a section in the preview

Read the note above the preview and make sure Seç (Select) mode is on; in Gezin (Navigate) mode, clicks open links. Reload the preview with the refresh button and check that you are still signed in as an administrator.

If the preview shows a different page

While a customer session is open, sign-in screens redirect to the client area, and pages of disabled modules redirect to the “Page Not Found” screen. The note above the preview explains the situation; you can edit the sections from the list on the left.

If you cannot find a button or warning text in a section

In 1.3.16, page sections contain only theme content (title, description, image, icon). Button, form, warning and information phrases are in the Tema ayarları → Genel metinler (Theme settings → General texts) tool: select the page and section, or type the phrase into the search box in the top bar.

If “Could not reach the server” appears during registration

If the connection drops, the 1.3.16 registration form automatically resends the request once; if the server still cannot be reached, it shows this warning. Check your internet connection and try again. The request may have reached the server before the warning appeared; before you try again, use the Client Area button in the header to check whether you have been signed in.

Mobile display problems

Check the mobile density, package layout and footer display settings in the Görünüm ve yerleşim (Appearance and layout) group. Check whether texts and images are excessively long. If you added custom CSS, assess the effect of those changes separately.

If packages or software do not scroll sideways

The swipeable layout only takes effect when there are more cards than fit on the screen. For example, with 4 packages side by side selected for desktop, a category with 4 packages appears in the normal layout and no arrows are shown; select fewer packages side by side or add packages to the category. Tablets show at most 2 packages side by side, wide tablets at most 3. Dragging with the mouse works on desktop, swiping with a finger on touch screens. This layout comes with 1.3.17.

If the column choice reverts to “Otomatik” (Automatic) after saving

In 1.3.16, WISECP’s theme setting save did not accept numeric options, so package and content card columns could revert to “Otomatik” after saving. In 1.3.17 these options are saved with new values, and the “Otomatik” option was removed from the package columns. After updating, select the setting once and save it.

Licence or compatibility warning

Check the theme and WISECP versions, that the licence domain matches the installation, the server time and secure outbound connections. In 1.3.14 the minimum WISECP version is 5.0-beta.2; a warning about a newer, untested version does not by itself mean that the licence is invalid.

During a temporary connection problem, a previously verified licence is kept with a limited tolerance; the first activation requires online verification. If the error persists, open a support ticket with the error text and version details.

If the theme ZIP is not accepted

If you get the “No templates/website directory found in the archive” error, check that you selected the installation ZIP. The update ZIP must not be used for installation. The installation archive contains templates/website/HostimorTheme/theme.php on 1.4.0 and templates/website/Hostimor/theme.php on 1.3.x; do not add an extra outer folder.

If the error persists with the correct package, send your WISECP version and the full error text to support. Installation guide →

If a new version or download does not appear

  • According to the release notes, has the package been approved and made available for download? The current approved version is 1.3.17.
  • Is the installed WISECP version within the range the package supports? 1.3.17 was published for WISECP 5.0-beta.3; the Marketplace does not let installations outside this range download the package.
  • Is the distribution channel of your installed package correct? With the Marketplace profile, you do not enter an additional Hostimor update key.
  • Is the theme licence active and the domain correct?
  • Is the support period still running? Downloading and re-downloading require an active support entitlement.
  • Can the server establish a secure HTTPS connection? Check PHP cURL, OpenSSL and the server time.

An invalid licence, an expired support period and the warning about an untested WISECP version are different situations.

If you get a theme file warning

A missing file, an incomplete upload or a changed file can cause a package check warning. In 1.3.14, start a new check with the Paket Kontrolünü Yenile (Refresh package check) button in theme management.

Check that you have the correct package and your backup, and tell support about your changes. The package check warning is shown separately from the licence status. Do not put private keys or the update key in the support ticket text.

If visitors see a licence page (1.4.0)

In 1.4.0, if visitors get a “The theme licence could not be verified”, “The theme files were modified” or “This WISECP version is not supported” page instead of the normal pages:

  1. Open the licence card. The status and package integrity rows in the Tema ayarları → Lisans, destek ve yedek (Theme settings → Licence, support and backup) section show the reason.
  2. If no licence was found, check in your hostimor.com client area that the service is active and that the licensed domain is the same as the domain of your WISECP licence, then press Re-check.
  3. If files were modified, restore the files named on the card or reinstall the approved package from the WISECP Marketplace; config.php and content/ are not part of this check.
  4. If the licence server cannot be reached, check your server’s outbound HTTPS access to www.hostimor.com and the PHP cURL and OpenSSL extensions. The last valid verification keeps working for 7 days.
